August 28th, 2013

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (KSDK) - Madison County residents could receive some big savings on their prescription drugs, thanks to a new program.

The county and ProAct, a benefit management company, joined forces to create the Madison County ProAct Prescription Drug Discount Card program.

The program could help Madison County residents save as much as 45 percent on their prescriptions that are not covered by insurance. The program is open to all county residents and is free.

The card can also help residents with other services such as vision, hearing, LASIK services and human medications for pets, according to a Madison County spokeswoman.

The county started sending prescription drug cards to residents last week.
