The discount program means real savings on prescriptions for under- and uninsured Montville residents. You can print your card from the website!
Mentioned this in our Daily five but thought we might feature it since we’ve learned that Montville residents are really saving money on prescriptions!
We heard from a friend on Facebook that she saved $14 on one prescription. Awesome!
As we told you back in January, the town has signed on with Connecticut Conference of Municipalities-sponsored Prescription Drug Discount Card program. It helps residents save money on their prescription medications any time their prescription is not covered by insurance. This new prescription discount card will provide immediate savings at the pharmacy counter for uninsured and underinsured residents and offers the following features and benefits:
-- Anyone can participate regardless of age or income;
-- All prescription medications are covered including pet prescriptions that can be filled at a pharmacy;
-- There is no cost to the municipality or to participating residents;
-- Cost savings average 45% ;
-- There are over 63,000 participating pharmacies nationwide, including Rite-Aid, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Stop and Shop, and Big Y, and many independent pharmacies;
-- Discounts are also offered on other medical services including vision, hearing and Lasik services.
If you have not received your card in the mail, go to the website www.CTRxDiscountCard.com and select Montville from the drop-down menu and print the discount card! Easy!
